David Proffitt has served as an Intermediary with CBI-Sunbelt for the last three years during which time he has advised and guided the sale of several Northwest Arkansas businesses. To date, David has totaled over three million dollars in successful transactions which span from small business sales to middle market mergers and acquisitions. For his efforts, David was awarded “Employee of the Year” in 2011.
As the most experienced Intermediary on the Northwest Arkansas CBI-Team, David has developed a wealth of knowledge of several industries including print media, distribution and wholesaling, spa and beauty services, food service, “E-Commerce”, renewable energy and retail.
In addition to David’s qualifications as a business intermediary, he is a licensed Arkansas Real Estate Agent and is able to assist in lease or sale negotiations for any size commercial property.
David was the first member of the CBI-Team to participate in a formal training program focused on developing a sales skill set. For six months, David trained under CBI-Team founder and owner Carl Grimes, developing relationships with buyers interested in acquiring small businesses.
Prior to his work as an Intermediary, David spent several years working in sales in both the print and online media, and medical sales industries.
David is active in the Northwest Arkansas community serving as an Ambassador for the Rogers-Lowell Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Board of Advisors for Fayetteville Parks and Recreation, a member of the Board of Advisors for the Botanical Gardens of the Ozarks and as an advisor for the Alumni Board of Sigma Nu Fraternity.
David is a native of Fayetteville, Arkansas and is a graduate of The University of Arkansas with a BSBA in Marketing. In his spare time, David enjoys traveling the Southern United States, attending Razorback athletic events and studying exercise and nutrition. He attends The Church at Arkansas in Fayetteville and is active in its “young professionals” group.
