Bill Grimes grew up farming in the Southern town of Clarendon, Arkansas.
From 1976 to 1986, Bill was the Vice President of Operations for the multi-unit/multi-state franchise, El Chico. Bill spent the next 13 years with Sam’s Club. During his tenure as General Manager, the clubs Bill managed were recognized as Regional Club of the Year, ranked the region’s highest in sales increases for 7 consecutive years, as well as highest in sales per labor-hour in the division. Bill was also a Corporate Training Facilitator and the region’s media liaison.
From 1999 to 2002, Bill started his own business in Minnetonka, Minnesota. The company developed a proprietary safety solution for manually retrieving shopping carts. In 2003, Bill decided to jump back into the corporate world and became the Senior Vice President of Retail Sales at Dane Technologies in Minnesota. While serving as Wal-Mart’s National Account Manager Bill successfully increased Dane Technologies sales to Wal-Mart more than 350% in less than 6 years, Bill moved on to McCue Corporation in Salem, Massachusetts where he increased sales to Wal-Mart by 265%.
Bill is actively involved with a number of opportunities that include business acquisitions, consulting, and helping CBI clients sell and buy businesses.
